Mumbai Photographer Won Apple's Photgraphy Contest With This Picture

Every year Apple invites iPhone photographers around the world to send their best pictures. The company so selects a handful of pictures from thousands of submissions. This yr, Apple selected six pictures and one of these pictures was clicked past a Mumbai-based lensman.

The criteria for this year was to utilise the recently introduced "dark mode" feature that comes with the latest iPhone xi and 11 Pro series. The winning pictures were clicked by photographers from countries like Communist china, Russian federation, India and Spain.

Now, 1 of these pictures was clicked by an Indian lensman named Mitsun Soni. The Bombay-based photographer posted the motion-picture show on his Instagram account on January 20 with the caption – "Feeling bluish.".

Every bit per his Instagram post, Soni used photo editing apps like Snapseed, VSCO and Lightroom to edit the photo and it was shot somewhere in Dubai.

Tyler Mitchell, one of the judge from the curated panel of judges said, "This one blows my mind. I take no idea where that deep rich cerise light is coming from on the tree. It virtually feels like a UFO sitting above the tree, simply out of frame. Absolutely beautiful composition equally well."
